Scottish Piper's Plaid / Long Plaid - Pride of Scotland
The formal finishing piece for Highland dress. A piper's plaid (long plaid) is the long, pleated plaid worn over the left shoulder and down the back, secured with a plaid brooch.
This one is made in Pride of Scotland tartan (also called Scottish National) - a beautiful royal blue, navy and purple base with white lines. This is a universal fashion tartan - anyone can wear it - and is one of the most popular tartans for pipe bands, weddings and formal events.
This is the LONG piper version, not the small fly plaid - gathered and stitched at the top for perfect shoulder pleating.
