The finishing touch for full Highland formal dress. A piper's plaid (long plaid) is the long, pleated plaid worn over the left shoulder and down the back, secured with a plaid brooch.

This one is made in Cameron Modern tartan - deep navy / black ground with bright red checks and yellow overstripes. Clan Cameron is one of Scotland's most famous Highland clans, and this tartan is highly popular with pipe bands for its bold and traditional look.

This is the LONG piper version (not the small fly plaid), gathered and stitched at the top for perfect shoulder pleating.
