The ultimate finishing piece for full Highland formal wear. A piper's plaid (also called long plaid / fly plaid - long version) is the long, pleated plaid worn over the left shoulder, draped down the back and secured with a brooch.

This one is made in Black Stewart tartan - a striking black ground with red, royal blue, yellow and white overchecks. One of the most popular and versatile tartans for formal Highland dress, perfect for pipe bands, weddings, and ceremonies.

This is the LONG version (approx. 110" x 34" / 280cm x 85cm), not the small fly plaid. It is gathered and stitched at the top to create beautiful pleating at the shoulder.

Hand Finished: Purled, hand-tied fringes on both short ends. Hemmed long edges.

How to Wear: Draped over the left shoulder, secured at the chest with a plaid brooch (not included), hanging down the back. Worn with Prince Charlie Jacket or Piper Doublet.
