The bold traditional finishing piece for Highland dress. A fly plaid is the pleated plaid worn over the left shoulder and pinned with a plaid brooch at the chest.

This one is made in MacDonald Modern tartan - vibrant red ground with forest green and navy blue checks. Clan Donald is the largest of all Scottish clans, and this modern version is the most popular MacDonald tartan. Strong, traditional and very popular for weddings and formal events.

This is the FLY PLAID (short formal version), not the long piper plaid.
