The light formal finishing piece for Highland dress. A fly plaid is the pleated plaid worn over the left shoulder and pinned with a plaid brooch.

This one is made in Dress Gordon tartan - white and black ground with navy blue and bright yellow overchecks. The dress version of the famous Gordon clan tartan. Much lighter and more formal than the dark Gordon Modern, very popular for weddings, Highland dancers and summer formal events.

This is the FLY PLAID (short formal version), not the long piper plaid.
