This is a Airstream Blowpipe Replacement Valve / Airstream Non-Return Valve for Highland Bagpipes

Type: Airstream blowpipe valve - upgraded modern version of traditional flapper valve

Material:

Black valve: Plastic / composite housing with rubber flapper

Silver valve: Aluminium housing with silicone flapper

Both types shown - interchangeable

Design:

Circular disc design (not tongue type)

Inner circular flap with C-shaped cut - opens when you blow, closes to seal

Fits into a special Airstream blowpipe seat / housing

Function:

One-way non-return valve - lets air IN to bag, stops air leaking OUT

More efficient and airtight than old leather flap valves

Gives very smooth, easy blowing, no sticking
