Black Velvet Kenmore Doublet - Luxurious Highland Formal Wear - Our Black Velvet Kenmore Doublet is a luxurious variant of the traditional Scottish Kenmore jacket, crafted in rich midnight black velvet as shown in your photo. Made from premium cotton velvet, this jacket features the classic Kenmore silhouette with high stand collar, pointed shoulder epaulettes, and 5 square chrome thistle buttons down the front. The cuffs feature 3 square buttons on a slashed cuff, and the signature Inverness tails are fully detailed with 3 square buttons on each tail with pleated inlay - a higher-spec finish than the standard wool version.
The deep black velvet catches light beautifully, making it ideal for evening weddings, Burns Suppers, ceilidhs, and black-tie Highland balls. Unlike the Canadian cutaway police tunics with chest pockets, the Kenmore maintains a clean formal front with no external pockets, emphasizing elegance over utility.
