Pipe Band Doublet Jacket - Black with  Silver Elaborate Braid - Pipe Major / Drum Major Pattern - The Pipe Band Doublet Jacket - Black with White Elaborate Braid is the premium Pipe Major / Drum Major pattern in black with silver/white trim. This is the most ornate and expensive version of the standard black pipe band doublet, featuring heavy white braid lattice wings, vertical white piping on cuffs and Inverness flaps, and scattered chest buttons.

The photo shows this premium pattern - jet black Melton wool with extensive silver braid and silver buttons, identical to the navy white version but in black.

Features:

Elaborate White Braid Pattern: Heavy white soutache braid down center front, heavy white braid lattice on ornate pointed shoulder wings, and vertical white stripes on gauntlet cuffs and Inverness front flaps with white braid border.

Silver Buttons: Chrome silver ball buttons down front, on wings, and at base of cuff/flap stripes - highly polished, as seen in photo.

Pipe Major Detail: The elaborate wing cut-out and vertical flap/cuff lacing is the hallmark of Pipe Major / Drum Major doublets - distinguishes officers from regular band members.

Black Wool Body: Premium Jet Black 18-20 oz Melton Wool - deep black, holds elaborate trim perfectly.

High Military Collar: High stand collar with white piping top and bottom.
