Dark Blue Pipe Band Piper / Drummer Doublet - Gold Braid Band Uniform - The Dark Blue Pipe Band Piper / Drummer Doublet is the gold-trim variant of the standard pipe band uniform. While your silver braid version is standard for civilian bands, this gold braid on black / dark navy version is the official uniform for many Police Pipe Bands, Fire Department Pipe Bands, and Military-style bands in the USA, Canada, and UK.

Your photo shows the classic configuration: Black wool (appears dark navy under light) with heavy gold braid trim and gold buttons.

Features:

Color: Jet Black / Dark Midnight Blue Melton Wool - The photo shows black with gold, but under studio light it reads as dark blue. We can make it in Exact Navy Blue or Jet Black - both at same price. Most US Police bands order it in Dark Navy.

Gold Military Trim: Heavy gold soutache braid on high collar, pointed shoulder wings with gold edge and gold button, gauntlet cuffs with vertical gold stripes and gold buttons, and Inverness flaps with gold braid border.

Gold Ball Buttons: 18 Gold-plated ball buttons - 3 per side on chest, plus cuff and front closure. Gold is traditional for Police / Fire and for Drum Majors.

Regulation Pipe Band Cut: Short, tailored, fully lined, designed for full arm movement - same pattern used by major competition bands.
